When you enter the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, you are greeted by the mosaic of Christ in glory. This was inaugurated in 1923. Spanning 475 square meters, it is one of the largest in the world. It depicts the resurrected Christ, dressed in white, with arms outstretched, revealing a golden heart.

Surrounding him are the Saints of the Universal Church: the Virgin Mary and Saint Michael, Saint Joan of Arc, as well as France personified, presenting its crown, and Pope Leo XIII offering the world.

On each side, in two rows under golden architectures, the homage of the Church (on the left) and of France (on the right) to the Sacred Heart.
