Sacré Cœur mosaic card set

A majestic set of cards depicting details of the iconic mosaics of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre. This set consists of 8 cards. Each card delicately illustrates a detail of several mosaics located inside the basilica: the mosaic of Christ in Glory; the iconic mosaic for which the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre is famous; the mosaic in the basilica's chapel; and the mosaic in the Chapel of the Virgin.

Details of the card set :

Eight cards depict details of the mosaic in the choir, the mosaic in the chapel and the mosaic in one of the basilica's chapels, the Chapel of the Virgin. 

• The choir mosaic as a whole: one of the largest in the world, it depicts Christ in glory with open arms, radiating light and peace in the heart of Montmartre.
• Christ in glory, Christ in majesty: Christ in glory, resurrected and dressed in white, opens his arms in a welcoming gesture, revealing a flaming heart of gold, symbolising his infinite love.
• Christ in glory and his sacred heart: Christ reveals his Sacred Heart, radiant with gold, a shining emblem of mercy, light and divine love.
• The Virgin Mary: The Virgin Mary stands beside Christ, majestic and peaceful, with her sacred heart radiant, a symbol of purity and maternal compassion.
• Saint Joan of Arc, of France, and Saint Michael: They appear as heroic and spiritual figures, embodying faith, divine protection and the Christian soul of the nation.
• The dove symbolising the Holy Spirit: above the glorious Christ, the dove of the Holy Spirit descends in a burst of light, symbolising peace, divine inspiration and the living presence of God.
• Christ appearing to Margaret Mary: Between 1673 and 1675, Christ appeared to her several times, showing her his Heart radiating with love. This heart, wounded by the ingratitude of men, became the central symbol of these revelations.
• The mosaic in the Chapel of the Virgin in its entirety: a sumptuous mosaic highlights Mary in all her gentleness and majesty, carried by angels and surrounded by heavenly symbols.
