When you enter the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, you are greeted by the mosaic of Christ in glory.

It was inaugurated in 1923. With its 475 m2, it is one of the largest in the world.

It represents the resurrected Christ, dressed in white, his arms wide open, revealing a heart of gold.

Around him, the Saints of the Universal Church: the Virgin Mary and Saint Michael, Saint Joan of Arc, as well as France personified, presenting her crown and Pope Leo XIII offering the world.

On each side, in two rows under golden architecture, the homage of the Church (on the left) and of France (on the right) to the Sacred Heart.
