The rosary is an object of prayer which resembles a necklace of beads made up of five series of ten beads, the tens. Each series is followed by a separate grain. A cross and five grains are located before the heart which bears the image of the Blessed Virgin, a saint or even a Christian symbol. These beads will be used to recite the “Hail Mary”.
